“Every action has an equal and opposite reaction”.This law of Newton can be applied not only to physics but also to body mechanisms. Your body works on the mechanism of action and reaction. Even the pain you experience is the result of some of the actions taking place in your body.

As a female, you may go through different kinds of pain and cramping-ovulation pain, menstrual pain, cramps, implantation pains, cramps, etc. Even the body itself gives you confusion. You need to pamper and observe your body to understand which phase you are in.

Understanding Implantation Cramps

During fertilization, the developing embryo gets attached to the uterus. As a result, small spotting can be found. This is called implantation. During the time of implantation, some women experience cramps which is similar to that period cramps.

How Can I Differentiate Implantation Cramps From Menstrual Cramps?

If the union of egg with sperm doesn’t happen, the uterine wall and other tissues shed as vaginal bleeding. This is called menstruation. Substance like prostaglandin prompts the uterine muscles to contract. These hormones are responsible for causing pain and inflammation. Consequently, this results in cramping.

The implantation usually occurs 6 to 12 days after ovulation during pregnancy. Since this implantation bleeding occurs simultaneously with the expected menstruation period people often confuses with ovulation. Implantation cramps happen 4 to 8 days before the period. The cramps aren’t intense periods, it is mild or moderate.

People also experience a pricking, pulling, or tingling sensation. The sensation is usually experienced in your lower back, lower abdomen, or pelvic areaThe cramps are usually concentrated in the middle of your body.

The duration of sensation is only about one or two days. You can also recognize the implantation cramps from period cramps by acute observation of other early signs of pregnancy.

Some symptoms of pregnancy include:

  • Constipation
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Tender breast
  • Food craving
  • Mood swings
  • High body temperature
  • Dizziness
  • Depression

What Can I Do If It’s Hurting?

If the implantation cramps are disordering your daily schedule, apply a heating pad. Beware while taking pain relievers because in case of pregnancy, it’s not safe to have every pain reliever.

But if you are experiencing severe pain along with bleeding you should immediately consult a doctor. Because it can be a sign of underlying medical conditions like ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, and cysts.

Do No Cramps Mean No Pregnancy?

Implantation cramps are not the obvious sign that you

are pregnant or not. And not experiencing cramps doesn’t mean that pregnancy or implantation hasn’t occurred. Each body is different and there’s no precondition that you should experience cramps.

If you have missed your periods for a week and are experiencing cramps, an early pregnancy test can solve all your queries.
